It’s been awhile since my last post, but rightfully so. I got married this past Monday and it was the most perfect and amazing day ever.
Although this week has been a whirlwind of excitement (and amazing wine/food), I did manage to snag in a few workouts. Today I ran the most I’ve ran since May – 7 miles. Normally, this is not a “long” run for me, but I definitely needed some time off from hard-core mileage and racing. I was happy that I finished the run with a solid 8:20 pace.
Next week, I will be focusing on marathon training. The San Francisco marathon is 22 weeks away, but since I’m using the CrossFit Endurance method of training this time around, I’m starting early to ensure that I am able to complete the W.O.D.’s (Workouts of the Day) before adding in the endurance portion.
What are your thoughts on unconventional marathon training? Has anything worked/not worked for you?

Congrats! I love your dress, shoes and flowers!
I’ve only training for one marathon, and for once in my life followed a plan, but it was Hal Higdon’s Novice 2, so it was pretty conventional. But I’m pro-do what works for you.
