“I did what?” In 2012

Being that it’s the last day of 2012, I think it’s a great time to reflect on the year.  Many amazing things happened this past year, including some life-changing events.

In January, I opened my OkCupid inbox.  And I’m so happy that I did.  Felix and I began dating and spent the rest of the year going on adventures and eating lots of great food.

One of our first road trips was to the back country of Virginia, where we toured a few wineries and a distillery.

Virginia is for lovers!

In May, I participated in Yoga on the Steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum.  This was such an enlightening experience.  It was here where I told my friend, Sue, that I wanted to move to San Francisco.  In July, Felix and I made that happen.

I quit my job as a teacher, packed only what I could fit in suitcases, and moved across the country with my boyfriend.  Yes, it was exciting and scary at the same time.  But, instead of leading of life of “What If’s,” I prefer to follow the “Why Not?!” mentality.

As for races, I completed two ten-mile races prior to moving to San Francisco, but other than that, I’ve taken a break from the racing scene.  However, 2013 will be a different story.

In November, Felix and I got engaged and in exactly one week, we will be married! (We’re starting 2013 off right!)

Overall, I’m stoked for what 2013 will bring.  Felix and I have a few mini-vacations planned to Seattle, Vancouver, L.A. and San Diego.  I love the thought of traveling to new places, which is probably what I’m most excited about for 2013.

What are you most looking forward to in the New Year?
